Healthy Fats are needed by your body for many of its functions and your body thrives on a supply of saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fats.

Right now Americans are facing an overabundance of Omega 6 Fatty Acids and a severe shortage of Omega 3 Fatty Acids from consuming too much Omega-6 polyunsaturated fats.

Too Much Omega-6 Causes Health Problems such as asthma, heart disease, cancer, weight gain, learning disorders, blood clots, liver damage, hyperactivity, sterility, and violent behavior. Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids must be kept preferably to a ratio of 1 to 1, instead of the “Now Norm” of 20 to 1 or even 50 to 1. Calcium requires a certain percentage of saturated fat in order to be incorporated into your bones.

Saturated fats are important to your brain, since your brain is made primarily from fat.

A great source of saturated fat is found in coconuts. Coconuts contain about 92% saturated fats and they are mainly in the form of medium chain triglycerides or medium chain fatty acids.
